Police charge two men with theft of four vintage motor vehicles

Police have charged two Moonah men with the theft of four vintage motor vehicles valued in excess of $150,000.

On 13 May, police received a report in relation to the theft of four vintage motor vehicles from a secure shed in Moonah. The vehicles ranged from 1957 to 1977 models and were stolen over an 18 month period.

As part of the police investigation, information was received from the public which led to the four vehicles being recovered from two separate locations in Lauderdale and Moonah.

Police from the Glenorchy Criminal Investigation Branch today arrested and charged a 32-year-old Moonah man and a 22-year-old Moonah man with burglary and stealing. They will appear before the Hobart Magistrates Court in June 2019.
