Police charge two over drug supply – Guildford West

Two men will face court today after police seized drugs following a vehicle search in Sydney’s west yesterday.

About 3pm yesterday (Wednesday 24 January 2024), officers attached to Cumberland Police Area Command were patrolling Guildford when they approached a vehicle in a carpark on Tamplin Road, Guildford West.

Police spoke to the driver – a 28-year-old man – and a 34-year-old male passenger.

During a subsequent search of the vehicle, officers located and seized substances alleged to be methylamphetamine and cocaine, as well as four mobile phones.

They were arrested and taken to Granville Police station.

About 8:50pm officers executed a search warrant on a home in Robertson Road, Guildford West.

During the search officers located substances alleged to be illicit drugs and cash.

The older man was charged with supply prohibited drug greater than equal to large commercial quantity, supply prohibited drug greater than indictable and less than commercial quantity, and possess prohibited drug.

The younger man was charged with recklessly deal with proceeds of crime greater than $5000 and supply prohibited drug greater than indictable and less than commercial quantity.

Both have been refused bail to appear before Parramatta Local Court today (Thursday 25 January 2024).
