Police charge two people for possession of replica pistols in Ashcroft

A 16-year-old teen and a 19-year-old man have been charged after allegedly waving two replica pistols around at a bus stop in Ashcroft last night.

About 9pm (Tuesday 12 November 2019), the two males were seen by members of the public brandishing what appeared to be two black handguns at a bus shelter on Maxwells Aveune.

Police were called and officers from Liverpool City Police Area Command attended and saw the two males walking along Maxwells Avenue.

Officers stopped the pair and seized two black replica pistols – capable of firing gel projectiles – allegedly tucked into the waistband of their pants.

The pair were arrested and taken to Liverpool Police Station where they were both charged with possess unauthorised firearm.

The teen was refused bail and will appear in Campbelltown Children’s Court today.

The man was also refused bail and he will appear in Liverpool Local Court today (Wednesday 13 November 20190.
