Moonee Valley Crime Investigation Unit have charged two teenagers following a fire in Tullamarine this morning.
Emergency services were called to reports of a building fire on Flight Drive just before 3.15am.
There was nobody inside at the time and no injuries.
Officers later spotted a vehicle of interest travelling at am alleged fast rate of speed in Meadow Heights.
Police followed the vehicle into Roxburgh Park where it was dumped on Clair Boulevard and the occupants fled.
The 16-year-old and 18-year-old males were arrested on Sheridan Way and have since been interviewed by detectives.
The 16-year-old was charged with criminal damage by fire, theft of motor vehicle and handle stolen goods.
He was remanded to appear before a children’s court tomorrow.
The 18-year-old was charged with criminal damage by fire, theft of motor vehicle, handle stolen goods and commit indictable offence whilst on bail.
He will appear before Melbourne Magistrates’ Court tomorrow.
