A woman has been charged following an incident at Werrington yesterday.
About 4pm (Monday 28 December 2020), emergency services were called to a unit complex on Parkes Avenue, Werrington, after reports of two women fighting.
On arrival police found a woman, aged 37, suffering a head injury. She was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Nepean Hospital where she remains in a stable condition.
Police then entered a neighbouring unit where they located a 43-year-old man unconscious. Officers commenced CPR until the arrival of paramedics however, the man was unable to be revived.
As inquiries commenced police attended a home in Kingswood where they arrested a 44-year-old woman.
She was taken to Penrith Police Station where she was charged with reckless wounding.
She was refused bail and will appear in Penrith Local Court today (Tuesday 29 December 2020).
The circumstances surrounding the death of the 43-year-old man continue.
