Police charge woman after baby left in car at Point Cook

Westgate Sexual Offences and Child Abuse Investigation Team charged a 32-year-old woman after a baby boy was allegedly left in a car at Point Cook yesterday.

Emergency services were called to an address on Sneydes Road about 3.15pm after reports a child had been left in a car.

The 14-month-old boy was taken to hospital where he remains in a critical condition.

The Gladstone Park woman has been charged with negligently causing serious injury and reckless conduct endanger life.

She was bailed to appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on 23 January.
