Police charge woman after Frankston affray

Frankston Crime Investigation Unit detectives have charged a woman after an affray at a Café in Frankston yesterday.

It will be alleged a woman attended a café on Beach Street just before 12.20pm on 11 August and was spoken to by another woman at the café as she was not wearing a mask.

The incident escalated and police were called.

On police arrival the woman allegedly refused to state her name and assaulted a police officer.

The 58-year-old Frankston woman was arrested and has since been charged with a string of offences including breaching the directions of the Chief Health Officer, affray, unlawful assault and assault police.

She faced Frankston Magistrates Court today and has been further remanded to next appear on 21 August.
