Police Charge Woman After Pursuit – Carlingford

A woman has been charged following an alleged pursuit in Sydney’s north west today.

Just after 12.20pm today (Thursday 1 October 2026), officers attached to State Crime Command’s Raptor Squad were patrolling on Church Street, Parramatta, when they attempted to stop a white SUV with alleged cloned number plates.

When the vehicle failed to stop as directed, a pursuit was initiated.

The pursuit continued through multiple streets in Parramatta and onto the Great Western Highway, where it was terminated due to safety concerns.

With the assistance of PolAir, Raptor Squad officers located and attempted to stop the vehicle on Kenney Place, Carlingford.

The vehicle allegedly failed to stop, ramming a marked police vehicle before driving off.

A short time later, the vehicle was located abandoned on Hinton Avenue West, Carlingford, and the driver and sole occupant – a 27-year-old woman – was arrested nearby on Cox Crescent.

The SUV was seized to be forensically examined.

She was taken to Gladesville Police Station, where she was charged with police pursuit – not stop – drive dangerously, drive motor vehicle during disqualification period, use etc offensive weapon to prevent lawful detention, and use class A vehicle displaying misleading etc number-plate.

She was refused bail to appear at Burwood Local Court tomorrow (Friday 2 October 2026).
