Police charge woman with high range PCA in Padstow

A woman has been charged with high-range drink-driving in Sydney’s south after coming under the notice of police due to her manner of driving.

About 1.40pm yesterday (Thursday 17 February 2022), officers from Bankstown Highway Patrol were alerted by an off-duty police officer that a silver Holden Astra sedan was allegedly being driven in an erratic manner on Alfords Point Road at Illawong.

A short time later HWP police stopped the car on Orient Street, Padstow and spoke with the driver, a 32-year-old woman. She allegedly returned a positive road-side breath test and was arrested.

The Erskine Park woman was taken to Revesby Police Station where she underwent a breath analysis, which returned a reading of 0.324 – over six times the legal limit.

Her NSW drivers’ licence was suspended, and she was issued a Court Attendance Notice (CAN) for drive with high range PCA.

She is due to appear at Bankstown Local Court on Wednesday 30 March 2022.
