Two women will face court charged with the criminal neglect of three children in the southern suburbs.
In December 2022, Southern District CIB commenced an investigation after three children were found to be living in a state of extreme squalor with no food present at the home and the children were in an unkempt and dirty condition.
Detectives deemed the home to be uninhabitable and the children aged 14, 5 and 3 were removed from the home for their safety.
As a result of investigations, Detectives arrested a 32-year-old woman and a 59-year-old woman from the home and charged them with three counts of criminal neglect and failing to provide appropriate food and accommodation.
Both women have been bailed to appear in the Christies Beach magistrates Court on 6 June.
