A 14-year-old boy from East Devonport has been charged with possessing a dangerous article after an incident outside a Devonport business earlier this morning.
Police were called after the youth was allegedly behaving in a disorderly manner on William Street about 11am.
After the arrival of police, a search of the youth was conducted, and two knives and stolen property were located.
He was arrested and charged with a number of offences including stealing, disorderly conduct and resisting a police officer.
He was bailed to appear at the Devonport Youth Justice Court at a later date.
