Police investigate armed robbery at Loganholme

Police are investigating the armed robbery of a pawn broker at Loganholme yesterday morning.

Around 10.45am, a man entered the Bryants Road business, jumped the counter and produced a large knife.

The man then threatened the 37-year-old female employee and demanded cash from the register.

The man grabbed a sum of money from the open till before fleeing over the counter and towards a neighbouring gym.

Neither the employee, a 33-year-old female customer or her two young daughters who were inside the store at the time were injured during the incident.

The man is described as Caucasian, approximately 154cm tall with a slim build. He was wearing long blue work-pant, a yellow high-visibility shirt and a white bucket hat at the time or the robbery.

Investigations continue.
