Police investigate armed robbery at Mitchelton

Police investigating the armed robbery of a hotel employee overnight have released vision as part of their ongoing investigations.

At 4.10am today, a man entered the Osbourne Road hotel, armed with a black handgun and demanded money from the male employee.

The employee moved to the cash room of the business where the man then demanded the employee’s wallet and keys before stealing his black Nissan coupe with Queensland registration 619ZMY.

The man left in the vehicle but was not successful in stealing cash from the business.

At this point, the stolen vehicle has not been located and it is not known in which direction it left.

Anyone who recognises the man depicted in the vision or who may have seen the stolen vehicle is urged to contact police.

The employee was not physically injured during the incident.

Investigations are ongoing.
