Police investigate armed robbery at Robina 13 July

Police are investigating the armed robbery of a store in Robina this morning.

Around 9.20am the male offender entered the store on Robina Town Centre Drive and approached a 35-year-old male employee with an unknown weapon wrapped in a piece of clothing.

The offender walked the employee to the back of the store and pushed him to the ground.

He then returned to the front counter and demanded goods from a second employee, a 34-year-old man.

The offender fled the store a short time later with an unknown quantity of jewellery. He was seen getting into an older model white hatchback that was being driven by another man.

Anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or anyone who may have dashcam footage of the area around the time of the incident, is urged to contact police.

No injuries were sustained in the incident.

Investigations are ongoing.
