Police investigate armed robbery at Rockhampton 4 February

Rockhampton detectives investigating the armed robbery of a local supermarket this afternoon have released an image of a man who may be able to assist with their investigations.

Around 3.50pm on Saturday, February 4, a man armed with a knife entered the George Street supermarket and threatened employees before stealing cash.

No one was injured and the man fled on a scooter. He was last seen travelling down Archer Street in a northerly direction.

He is described as Caucasian with a proportionate build and was wearing a white and black t-shirt, black shorts, a red cap and thongs.

Anyone who saw the man, or anyone with information in relation to his identity, is asked to contact police.

Any homeowners or businesses in the vicinity with CCTV are asked to check their vision for any sightings of the man.
