Police investigate armed robbery at Toowoomba

Detectives are investigating an armed robbery which occurred on Anzac Road in Toowoomba this morning.

At 4.55am a 46-year-old man had just withdrawn a sum of money from an ATM, when he was approached by a male person demanding the money.

The man handed over the money and the offender ran through a car park where a second male person was waiting. The two were seen to run through to Vacey Street.

The first male is described as 175cm tall, slim to medium build, wearing dark clothing and a mask and he appeared to be carrying a small hand gun.

The man in the car park can be described as 180cm tall, very thin build, olive or tanned complexion with an afro hair style.

Police are appealing for anyone who may have seen the two males prior to the offence in the Clifford Garden shopping centre area, or car park, or may have seen the two men running through the car park into Vacey Street Toowoomba.

Investigators also wish to hear from residence in the area of Vasey Street who may locate any discarded clothing or mask, to leave it in the location and contact police as these items may be linked to this crime.
