Police investigate attempted armed robbery at Regents Park

Police are investigating the attempted armed robbery of a woman at Regents Park in the early hours of this morning.

Around 5.45am a 31-year-old woman was walking from her car towards an Emerald Drive store when she was approached by a man with a handgun who demanded her handbag.

A nearby shop owner has come to her aid and chased the armed man from the scene.

The woman was not injured in the incident and no property was stolen.

The man is described as Caucasian, 180 cm tall with a skinny build and was wearing a black tracksuit pants and a black hoodie with white text on the back.
