Police investigate Berwick aggravated burglary

Detectives from Casey Crime Investigation Unit are appealing for public assistance to help solve an aggravated burglary which occurred in Berwick last month.

Investigators have been told a woman entered a home on Dunmore Place on the morning of Tuesday 8 January.

The victims were awoken to the sound of their house alarm and noticed several rooms had been rummaged through and items including keys, a purse and bank cards were stolen.

Hours later a woman was spotted on CCTV at a Cheltenham Road service station where she used one of the bank cards stolen from the house to buy cigarettes.

She is perceived to be of Pacific Islander or Aboriginal in appearance, in her late 20s, approximately 165cm tall, of solid build with curly dyed red hair.

She was wearing a grey Dickies hoodie, black pants, white socks and slippers.

Investigators have released CCTV images of the woman they believe may be able to assist with their enquires.
