Police investigate Brighton Beach Box incident

Bayside Sex Offender Registry detectives are appealing for public assistance to help identify a man following an incident which occurred in Brighton over the weekend.

Investigators have been told a group of teenage girls were sitting in front of the Brighton Beach Boxes on Sunday about 3.15pm when they were approached by an unknown man.

The man made some sexual comments to the girls before walking off.

It’s believed he then went behind the beach boxes where he took off his pants and came out naked from the waist down before leaving.

He was last seen walking towards the Brighton Beach Train Station – it’s believed he was wearing his pants at that time.

The man has been described as being aged in his 50s and tall with a slim build.

At the time of the offence he was wearing short blue shorts which had a white floral motif, a white or grey t-shirt, a cap and glasses.

Police are asking anyone who was in area at the time and may be able to assist police with their enquiries to please contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a confidential report online at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au
