Police investigate Bulleen aggravated burglary

Manningham Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating an aggravated burglary which occurred in Bulleen last month.

Investigators have been told two men broke into a property on Furneaux Grove about 5am on 30 December.

The pair ransacked a number of rooms before entering the master bedroom where an 81-year-old woman was asleep.

They woke the woman and threatened to kill her if she didn’t hand over her jewellery and cash.

The woman refused and the offenders left the property but not before stealing the victim’s handbag and purse.

Her credit cards were then used at service stations in Roxborough Park, Coolaroo, Broadmeadows and Campbellfield to purchase cigarettes and gift cards by two men.

Police believe that when the men were using the credit cards they were wearing a wig and travelling in a silver Mercedes Benz SLK350 or similar.

Investigators have released CCTV and images of two men they believe may be able to assist with their investigation.

Anyone who recognises the men or with further information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a confidential report at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au
