Police investigate Carlton North burglary

Melbourne Crime Investigation Unit detectives have released vision and images of a man following a burglary at a business in Carlton North earlier this week.

Officers believe a man approached the business on Royal Parade about 2.50am, before throwing a fire hydrant cover through the window to gain access to the premises.

Once inside, it is believed the offender has stolen approximately $2,000 worth of clothing, including short and long-sleeved jumpers.

It’s believed the thief then exited through the smashed window before fleeing.

Detectives have released CCTV and images of a man they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.

The offender is described as having a solid build, and wearing a blue bucket hat, a white long-sleeved jumper, blue pants, boots, a blue surgical mask and gloves.

He has a distinctive run and a seemingly hunched back.
