Homicide Squad detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a woman in Croydon North last night.
Emergency services were called to an address in Patrick Avenue about 10.15pm after reports of an assault.
Paramedics worked on a woman found with critical injuries.
Sadly, the woman who is yet to be formally identified, died at the scene.
A 40-year-old Croydon North man is assisting police with their enquiries.
