Police investigate Dandenong North kidnapping

Greater Dandenong Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating after a man was kidnapped in Dandenong North.

A 26-year-old Dandenong man was at Rhoden Court about 9.40pm when he was forced into his own vehicle by two armed men.

The men made demands for money before leaving the hostage at an address in Clyde North and driving off in his white Toyota Prado with New South Wales registration CSU 14B.

The victim was not seriously injured and contacted police.

Police attempted to stop the stolen vehicle on Narre Warren North Road about 1am but the vehicle sped off and remains outstanding.

If anyone sees the Toyota Prado they are urged to contact triple zero (000) immediately.
