Homicide Squad detectives are investigating after a man died in Carlton on Friday night.
Emergency services were called to Victoria Street about 6.15pm to reports of a fight between several males.
Upon police arrival an injured man was discovered but all other persons involved has fled the scene.
The man was treated by paramedics and taken to hospital where he later died.
A crime scene has been established.
Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or may have been driving in the area at the time and has dash-cam footage to come forward.
