A man has died following reports of a shooting in Whittington this evening.
Police responded when ambulance paramedics were called to a property in Boundary Road after reports a man had been shot about 7.20pm.
The exact circumstances surrounding the incident are still being established and a crime scene has been set up.
Detectives have a number of follow up enquiries to make in relation to those involved and at this early stage it’s believed the parties are known to one another.
Local police, detectives and specialist police are in the area currently responding to the incident.
The Homicide Squad is heading to the scene.
