Homicide Squad detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a woman in Hedley overnight.
Police located the yet to be formally identified deceased woman on a rural property around 2.30am.
A 43-year-old man is currently under police guard in hospital after he was involved in a collision in Hedley earlier in the night.
Both parties are believed to be known to each other.
The exact circumstances surrounding the death are yet to be determined at this stage and the investigation continues.
