A crime scene has been established after two people died in a stabbing in Sydney’s southwest today.
About 4pm (Tuesday 17 December 2019), emergency services were called to Huntley Place, Cartwright, after reports two people were stabbed following a dispute.
Officers from Liverpool City Police Area Command attended and located a woman and a man suffering serious stab wounds.
NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the man, however, he died on scene.
The woman, who was taken to Liverpool Hospital in a critical condition, has since died.
A second man is in police custody at Liverpool Police Station and is assisting with inquiries.
Detectives have commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
