Police investigate Emerald burglary

Cardinia Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating a burglary that occurred in Emerald last month.

Investigators believe two male offenders entered the Mary Street property about 12.45pm on 9 December 2019.

Upon entry, one male used a water-displacing spray in an attempt to blur the security camera.

The men then used bolt cutters to smash window panels before gaining access to the garage which set off a security alarm.

The pair fled the scene and drove away in a white Holden Rodeo bearing false plates.

No one was home at the time of the incident.

Detectives have released images of a car and two men they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.

One male is perceived as being of Caucasian appearance, aged approximately 35 to 45 years old, has grey coloured hair and a small tattoo on his left outer forearm.

He was wearing a blue Asics top with a white emblem on the front, a black cap, black pants and sneakers.

The other male has an olive complexion, aged approximately 45 to 50 years old, was unshaven and has short dark hair.

He was wearing a black singlet, pink, black and white board shorts, black sandal shoes and a bucket hat.
