Police investigate enter with intent at Mount Cotton, Ormeau and Holmview

Police investigations are underway after two stolen vehicles from Carina were used during break-ins at three separate businesses at Mount Cotton, Ormeau and Holmview overnight.

Around 1.05am, a grey 2014 Mitsubishi Pajero bearing Queensland registration “043 VHN” and a white 2016 Hyundai i30 hatchback bearing Queensland registration “653 XIR”, with a logo on the driver’s side door that reads “Story House Early Learning”, attended a supermarket on Valley Way at Mount Cotton.

The Pajero was used to force entry through the front glass doors of a supermarket while the Hyundai was used as a ‘lookout’ vehicle.

Three male offenders exited the vehicles to enter the store, whilst one remained in the Hyundai.

However, the three males ran back to the vehicles upon realising an employee was inside the store the both cars fled the scene.

Around 1.30am, both vehicles attended a supermarket on Peachey Road at Ormeau, where the Pajero was used to force entry by reversing through the front glass doors.

Four men entered the business and stole a quantity of cash and cigarettes before fleeing in the vehicles, seen heading towards the Pacific Motorway.

Around 2.00am, both vehicles attended a newsagency on Logan River Road at Holmview, where the Pajero was again used to force entry through the front glass doors. A quantity of cigarettes were stolen.

Both vehicles were stolen from a residence at Birrilee Street, Carina Heights, sometime after 7pm last night (Monday May 20).

Investigations continue.
