Police investigate enter with intent at Tallebudgera

Detectives are investigating a break and enter incident in Tallebudgera overnight.

At 1am, a stolen white Mitsubishi ASX containing two men was reversed through the front glass doors of a liquor store, located on the corner of Trees Road and Tallebudgera Connection Road.

The force pushed the glass doors into the middle of the shop and pushed over a fridge containing drinks.

Once inside, the two men removed bottles of alcohol from the shelves before returning to the car, driving out of the shop and then travelled east out of the carpark towards Trees Road.

The vehicle was later located nearby, abandoned in a ditch off the Junction Road roundabout at Burleigh Heads, just after 4am.

The vehicle, which sustained extensive damage during the incident, had been stolen from an earlier burglary on Latimers Crossing Road at Advancetown.

One of the men was described as wearing a distinctive ‘Raiders’ hooded jumper. Anyone with information which may assist with the investigation is asked to contact police.

Detectives are looking into whether the incident is linked to another break and enter which occurred in Currumbin Waters overnight. A vehicle reversed into a vacant shop which is situated next door to a liquor store on Ware Street between midnight and 4am.
