Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a fatal collision which occurred in Traralgon on Wednesday night.
Officers have been told a man, believed to be in his 50s, was hit by a car on McNairn Road about 9.30pm.
He suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken to hospital in a critical condition but later died.
The driver of the car stopped at the scene and is assisting police with their enquires.
