Police Investigate Fatal Forest Hill Crash

Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are investigating a fatal collision in Forest Hill this morning.

Emergency services were called to reports of a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Springvale and Canterbury roads shortly before 11.30am.

A 72-year-old female backseat passenger, from Boronia, was declared deceased at the scene.

The 52-year-old female driver, from Boronia, was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

A 14-year-old male front-seat passenger, from Boronia, was also taken to hospital with minor injuries.

The 41-year-old male driver of the second vehicle, from Clayton, was uninjured while his 21-year-old female passenger, from Parkdale, was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

Extensive delays are expected at the intersection while detectives examine the crash scene to determine the circumstances
