Police investigate Flinders Street attempted robbery

Police are investigating an attempted robbery at a convenience store in Melbourne last month.

Investigators have been told a man entered the store and blocked the entrance with his bicycle about 12.30pm on 15 October.

It is believed he made threats to staff whilst placing food items in his pockets.

Staff confronted the man after he refused to return the items which resulted in a physical altercation.

The man dropped the items and fled the scene on his bike and travelled south along Clarendon Street.

He is described as Caucasian in appearance, mid 20’s and has a shaven head.

Investigators have released images of a male they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.
