Police Investigate Hampton Collision

Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are investigating a collision in Hampton last night.

It is understood a Mazda Tribute wagon and a Yamaha motorbike collided in the intersection of Beach Road and Orlando Street about 8.30pm.

The rider, a 33-year-old man from Somerville, was transported to hospital with life-threatening-injuries and he is now in a stable condition.

The driver of the Mazda, a 21-year-old woman from Brighton East, stopped at the scene and is assisting police with their enquiries.
