Police investigate Hawthorn aggravated burglary and deceptions

Boroondara Crime Investigation Unit detectives are hoping to identity a man following an aggravated burglary and subsequent deceptions in Hawthorn last month.

It is believed a man broke into an Oxley Street address and stole a silver Mercedes about 3pm on 21 March.

That same day, the man is then believed to have used the victim’s credit card, which was left in the car, to purchase items at several stores around Camberwell.

Police have released images of a man they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.

He is described as Caucasian in appearance, aged in his 20s and has a medium build.

He was wearing a black sleeveless top with a white motif on the front, black Adidas tracksuit pants and a black Los Angeles Raiders cap.

Anyone with information or who recognises the man is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a confidential report at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au
