Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a fatal crash in Hazelwood North on 25 March.
Investigators have been told a station wagon was travelling along Clarkes Road about 4.45pm before it crashed into an embankment at the intersection of Sander’s & Mattingley Hill Roads.
The driver, a 43-year-old Morwell man, died at the scene.
The other occupant of the car, a 38-year-old Morwell woman, remains in hospital in a critical condition.
Investigators are hoping to speak to anyone who may have dash cam footage or may have seen the 2010 Holden Commodore Station Wagon travelling between the Bridle Estate in Morwell and Clarke’s Road between 4:30pm and 4:50pm on that day.
