Police investigate hit-run collision in Dandenong

Police are appealing for public assistance after a pedestrian was hit by a car in Dandenong last night.

It is believed a male pedestrian was struck by a white Toyota Corolla on Foster Street near Rudduck Street just before 11.30pm.

The driver failed to stop at the scene and drove away.

A 41-year-old Dandenong man was taken to hospital with minor head injuries.

The stolen Toyota Corolla was found abandoned a short time later in Pine Street Frankston North.

Dandenong Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating and are keen to speak to any witnesses or anyone with CCTV or dash cam footage.
