Police investigate hit-run in Roxburgh Park

Hume Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating a hit-run collision in Roxburgh Park on Saturday.

Investigators have been told a black Volvo entered the Roxburgh Park bus terminal off Thomas Brunton Parade about 6.50pm on 1 July.

Officers believe the car has began to slow when a 16-year-old girl started to cross the road at the crossing.

It is believed the car has then accelerated, hitting the girl.

The victim was knocked to the ground before the car struck the girl, fleeing the scene at speed.

The victim was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Investigators have released CCTV and an image of the vehicle believed to have been involved.
