Police are investigating a theft and assault at Riverlea overnight.
About 9.45pm on Tuesday 26 August, a 51-year-old woman had pulled over on Port Wakefield Road after she noticed her green Kia sedan had a flat tyre.
It will be alleged whilst the woman had pulled over to attend to the tyre, she was approached by two men from an older model silver car.
When the woman declined assistance from the men, she was assaulted and her handbag was stolen.
The two suspects fled from the area in the silver car and were last seen heading north on Port Wakefield Road.
The victim received minor injuries during the altercation.
