Homicide Squad detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a man in North Melbourne this morning.
Emergency services were called to Langford Street after a man was located on the footpath with a gunshot wound about 3.15am.
The man, who is yet to be formally identified, was pronounced dead at the scene.
No arrests have been made at this stage.
The exact circumstances surrounding his death are yet to be determined.
