Police investigate Parkville cafe burglary

Melbourne Crime Investigation Unit detectives are seeking to identify a man following a burglary in Parkville last month.

It is believed the man entered a business within a hospital on Grattan Street about 7.15pm on Monday 16 March.

The offender has cut wires to a cash register and stolen the register containing cash.

The man is perceived to be Caucasian in appearance, in his 40s with long hair tied in a ponytail.

He was wearing black track suit pants with a white stripe down each leg, t-shirt, vest, sunglasses on top of his head and carrying a messenger bag over his shoulder.

Police have released images of the man they believe can assist with their enquiries.
