Police investigate series of cigarette burglaries in Bendigo

Bendigo Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating a series of burglaries at service stations in the Bendigo area since December.

There have been five incidents where an offender has forced entry, causing substantial damage.

The offender has been able to steal cigarettes on three of the five occasions, valued in the tens of thousands of dollars.

The incidents took place:

30 December 2019 – Napier Street in Epsom about 2.40am

7 January 2020 – McIvor Road in East Bendigo about 2.10am

14 January 2020 – Sandhurst Road in California Gully about 12.45am

18 January 2020 – Marong Road in Golden Square about 2.15am

20 January 2020 – McIvor Road in Bendigo East and 2.20am

The offender is perceived to be Caucasian with a solid build and short balding hair.

Investigators have released CCTV of a man they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.
