Police investigate serious assault at Fortitude Valley 8 March

Police have released vision of a man they wish to speak to as part of ongoing investigations into the serious assault of a woman in Fortitude Valley on February 14.

Two women were sitting on the footpath at the intersection of Constance and Wickham Streets when they were approached by an unknown man around 11.40pm.

The man then demanded money from one of the pair, a 22-year-old woman, and made threats if she did not comply.

The woman refused and the man then kicked her in the face before leaving.

The 22-year-old woman lost consciousness as a result and was transported to hospital in a stable condition with facial injuries.

The man is described as Caucasian and was wearing a black cap, red jumper, black shoes and carrying a black Addidas shoulder bag.

Anyone who may recognise the man in the CCTV or know his whereabouts is urged to come forward.
