Police investigate serious assault at Seaforth

A 45-year-old man has been charged following the alleged serious assault of a man at a Seaforth caravan park this morning.

It will be alleged around 3am the two men were involved in a physical altercation, when one of the men sustained multiple stab wounds from a knife.

The 48-year-old Sunshine Coast man was taken to the Mackay Base Hospital with head, chest and back injuries in a serious but stable condition.

The 45-year-old has been charged with acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm.

He is due to face a Mackay Magistrates Court this afternoon.
