Police investigate sexual assault at Mount Isa

Police are appealing to anyone who witnessed an alleged sexual assault at Mount Isa earlier this month to come forward.

Around 5pm on Monday February 10, a boy approached a 25-year-old woman walking along Pamela Street and allegedly touched her inappropriately. The incident occurred on Pamela Street, between Spence and East Streets.

Following the alleged assault, the boy ran along East Street towards the local shopping centre.

He is described as having dark complexion, around 180cm tall and wearing a black and red basketball singlet.

A 16-year-old boy has since been charged with sexual assault, however investigators wish to speak to anyone who witnessed the alleged act. or anyone who may know the victim.
