Police investigate stabbing at party in Earlwood

An investigation is underway after a teenage girl was stabbed at a party in Sydney’s Inner West last night.

About 9.30pm (Saturday 21 March 2020), emergency services responded following reports a girl had been stabbed by another girl during a party at a park on Hartill-Law Avenue, Earlwood.

NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the 15-year-old girl for stab wounds and took her to Randwick Children’s Hospital, where she is awaiting surgery in a serious but stable condition.

Officers from Burwood Police Area Command established a crime scene, which was examined by specialist forensic officers. A number of items were also seized for further examination.

Burwood detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident are appealing for anyone who attended the party and has not yet spoken to police to come forward.
