Police investigate suspicious fire in Oakleigh

Monash Crime Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for information after an arson attack caused over $1million damage to a business in Oakleigh.

It is understood a man arrived at a car dealership on Park Road in a grey 2013 Audi A4 Wagon about 2.55am on Monday, 26 June.

Police were told he smashed windows to force entry into the premises about 3.45am, before setting the business on fire.

Multiple vehicles were damaged in the fire.

There was no one in the building at the time of the incident.

The man fled the scene in the vehicle.

Investigators have released CCTV footage of a man they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.
