Police investigate theft and deceptions in Ballan

Ballan Uniform Police are investigating a series of theft and deceptions in Ballan on 17 March.

Police understand two men have made a number of transactions at a supermarket on Inglis Street with stolen credit card details.

The two men made three transactions between 12.30pm and 8pm, for both alcohol and cigarettes.

They attempted to make a fourth transaction when questioned by staff, the men fled the area through the car park in a southerly direction.

Police are seeking to speak with one of the men, perceived to be of Indian Sub-Continental appearance, approximately 175cm/tall and in his mid-30s.

Police have released an image and a Facefit of a man they would like to speak to in relation to the incident.

Ballan Police would like to warn anyone who was attending the local autumn festival that day, to check their bank accounts for unusual activity.
