Vehicle Crime Squad detectives are appealing for information from the public following the theft of a distinctive high-end vehicle in Toorak on Wednesday morning.
Investigators believe two to three male offenders broke into the garage of a house just off Alexandra Avenue, where the blue McLaren 12C Spyder was parked, just before 1.30am.
The thieves managed to start the vehicle and drove away from the address.
They were last seen driving the McLaren, with personalised plates, 12C, on South Road in Moorabbin shortly after the theft.
The vehicle is valued at $300,000 and is only one of that colour and type in Australia.
