Whitehorse Crime Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for public assistance following the theft of two boats in Vermont on Saturday morning.
Investigators have been told a group of between three to five people attended a business on Canterbury Road about 5am and broke in before stealing two boats.
The boats are described as a white and light blue Malibu registered R0570, on a trailer registered Z19075 and a white and dark blue Malibu registered R0570, on a trailer registered W2111.
The group were believed to be driving two vehicles, a dark coloured Nissan Patrol Utility and a black SUV.
Investigators have released images of the two boats in the hope that someone may recognise them.
Police are asking anyone who may have seen the group on Canterbury Road or with any information to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a confidential crime report at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au
